The Meaning of “Like”

It’s tempting to think that 4.85 million people “liking” National Geographic on Facebook is the harbinger of a new (stealth) business model. And for all we know, John Fahey might find a way to build something sustainable with this “community.”

But SocialMedia411 casts serious doubt on whether such a big number really adds up to much more than bragging rights, though we hope they’re wrong.
