“Even better….”
Alone In the Wild, a new show on the National Geographic Channel,
features “adventurer” Ed Wardle, who wanders across the Canadian Yukon
for 50 days — all by himself.
We’re told he survives, so there’s no drama there.
What, then, is the Channel’s hook for viewers?
Watching Ed suffer and almost kill himself on prime-time TV.
According to @NatGeoChannel, that’s “even better” than “awesome.”
This infliction of physical pain and mental anguish,
plus Ed Wardle’s near-death experience by starvation,
has been underwritten by your Society.
